Icom IC-M25Euro Marine VHF 5W Floating Handheld Radio Grey
Icom IC-M25EURO is a VHF Marine radio that floats, is lightweight and comes packed with smart features.
The radio is IPX7 which means it is protected against temporary immersion in water for 1 m (3.3 ft) for 30 minutes.
If you accidentally drop the IC-M25EURO into the water, it will float, flash and sound an alarm. The buoyancy, the flashing light and the sound reduce the risk of loss at sea.
The IC-M25EURO has a whopping 11 hours of battery life that comes from the built-in 1570 mAh (typical) Li-ion battery to utilise 5 Watts (approx.) output power for up to 11 hours of operation.
This commercial grade VHF handheld marine radio provides a powerful 700 mW (typical) audio output power allowing any received voice to be heard loud and clear.
On the front panel, the function keys are good-sized and simply laid out. The large display features big channel numbers supporting 4-digit channels and automatic backlighting.
Easily charge the IC-M25EURO as it adopts a micro-B USB charger connector which is widely used on mobile devices. The built-in Li-ion battery pack can be charged quickly in approximately three hours.

The Icom IC M25 Euro is a slim lightweight marine VHF radio that has a large LCD display which is 30% larger than it's predecessor the Icom IC M24.
The handy USB charging means that you can keep it plugged in while out and about via your standard phone charging USB outlets and run time becomes as long as your boats batteries, otherwise it has an 11 hour battery life.
A bright blue button to access channel 16 quickly, or you can program it to a channel of your choice.
The M25 has all the typical functions like scan, group scan, squelch, favourite channel but also has a loud and clear speaker which is something that Icom have sorted across their radios.
Despite the advertising from Icom packaging and international suppliers, the M25 only comes into Australia as the Metallic Grey version.
